Welcome to my home page. I am one of a host of Cornell faculty who teach and do research in poverty and international development.
My research program also has strong links to international, agricultural, environmental and micro economics as well as to applied econometrics.
I will be directing the 2008-11 Cornell Institute for the Social Sciences theme project on “Persistent Poverty and Upward Mobility.” Sign up to be a network affiliate if you would like to participate in the various events the project will sponsor, especially in academic year 2009-10.
