Farm Transfer Workshops

Farm families throughout New York State can attend these regional workshops to help get their personal farm transition process started (or jump-started). A step-by-step curriculum (FarmLink curriculum) helps the family move through this complex process at their own speed and comfort level.

Teaching Format
The teaching venue will be lecture mixed with interactive activities, involving the use of panel discussions, case studies, and short hands-on exercises. Most formats include working through the farm transfer workbooks.

Planning for Health Risks that Affect Farm Businesses top

Description
New York agricultural producers will obtain a better understanding of the personal and financial risks that affect their agricultural businesses due to improper health care planning. Producers will also have a chance to meet health care professionals employed by insurance companies, government-sponsored programs, and non-profit organizations.

Partnerships, Joint Ventures, and Strategic Alliances top
