Biography

Steven Kyle is an associate professor at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. He works in the areas of macroeconomic policy, both in the United States and in low-income countries. Recent work has included studies of the economies of Portuguese-speaking African countries, the outlook for the U.S. economy, and issues in the management of transition economies in eastern Europe and central Asia. Kyle currently teaches two courses, Introduction to Economics of Development and Hot Economic Topics in the News Today. This last course has been expanded to become one of the Grand Challenge writing courses.
