Rockefeller Ph.D. Fellows Program
The Rockefeller Foundation has approved funding for the first cohort of an interdisciplinary Ph.D. training program with the African Food Security and Natural Resources Management program.
The eight successful candidates for these fellowships are Ph.D. students from eastern and southern Africa interested in integrated nutrient management for improved agricultural productivity and food security.
One of the goals of this program is to foster interdisciplinary research so the group will include both natural and social scientists. A second objective of the program is to increase the research capacity of the home universities and research institutes of the students.
